Flag Football Equal Playing Time Tracker

Excel · CSV · Google SheetsFree — no signup

A simple tracker to count snaps or series per player across the season, so "everyone plays fair minutes" is a number you can point to, not a feeling. Many youth and rec leagues require minimum playing time — this sheet proves you met it, and the Excel version totals and averages each player automatically.

What's in the template

Decide upfront whether you're counting snaps (every down a player is on the field) or series (a possession at a time) — snaps are more precise, series are easier to tally live. Then keep it consistent all season so the averages mean something.

How to use it well

Have someone on the sideline tally as you go — it's far easier than reconstructing it after. Check the averages every few games, not just at the end, so you can even things out while there's still season left. Pair it with our equal playing time guide for how to plan rotations that hit fair minutes, and the 5v5 rotation guide for rotating whole units.

When the spreadsheet isn't enough

Tallying by hand every game gets old fast. FlagRoster tracks who plays and turns your roster into planned rotations, so fair minutes are built into the lineup instead of counted after the fact. Try it free for 14 days →
